Dave Hopla Shooting Notes
Here is a great set of notes on one of the best shooting instructors in the country Dave Hopla. Most people will agree that shooting has become a lost art. Most kids these days only care about dunking the ball. If you want your team to shoot the ball better these notes and workout are great way to start.

Mike Dunlap Defensive Philosophy
With the resurgence of the St. Johns basketball team a lot of people are wondering what they are doing defensively since they have knocked so many top 10 teams this year at home. A lot of the credit goes to the new head coach Steve Lavin but their defense has been stellar and that is the job of Mike Dunlap at St. Johns. Coach Dunlap has been a very successful coach at Metro St. and as an assitant at Oregon, Arizona and now St. Johns look for him to become a head coach at the D1 level shortly.

Today is a set play you can use out of A set also know as Horns called zipper. It gets you a post up opportunity and and a pick and roll for one of your wing players.

Ball Screen Offense by Tod Kowalczyk
Today we have a popular 5 out ball screen offense that becomes a four out one in offense. I really like this offense if you are running Dribble Drive Motion but your guards for that season are having a hard time getting to rack and may need to use ball screens and hand offs. Also great to use if you need to play two posts one post cannot put it on the floor instead of sticking him at the 3 position.
